What was
there before the start of time? A question that has puzzled physicists around
the world for centuries. In the midst of nothingness, somehow the particles
decided to combine with a big explosion to give birth to this universe. Somehow
everything just exploded and formed all of this. The universe and everything.
It gave a way to life, time, evolution and what not. There was no idea or
hypothesis of time before that because, nothing was there. It was just whole
lot of nothingness. After big bang time came in view, but isn’t that something
too arbitrary. The whole idea of time is illusionary. There is no time. I don’t
mean I am running late so I don’t have time. There is no time. There are no
numbers in the sky. It’s a human invention. Humans made the whole thing up For
their own convenience. In India time zones work on half hour basis. While they
work on hour basis all around world. Main difference is not about half hours,
But about thousands of years. The major calendars differ by thousands of years.
Muslims say its 1434 AH, Hindu calendar says 2068-2069. These are major
calendars deferring with each other for hundreds of years. Remember it’s not
just some weeks, Its hundreds of years. These are calendars we are talking
about. The instruments specially designed to keep track of time. We try to keep
track of time but it’s futile, you cannot keep it down. Time is always perceived
like a flowing river constant and never ending. But it is like an ocean in a
storm too bigger concept to even comprehend or perceived by.
Years after
years some of us have always been wondering what this all was about, what is
the motive of this life universe and everything. And till now what all they
have got is zilch, zero nada. Douglas Adams came a lot closer to answering this
question in his creation hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy. Where the supreme
computer points out that the Answer to the ultimate question of life universe
and everything is 42. Even though no one knows what 42 meant. This made a lot
of people look into why 42? Why not any other number? So research started going
over that. Some people just want to know why all that happen. Here religion
came in. it was told It took him splits of a second to create his great
colossal desert. Everything changed in those few seconds. If it hadn’t been for
those few seconds, it’s difficult to imagine what would have been. Scientists
believe that there are more number of galaxies in this universe than the number
of sand grains on earth. All of them created in a matter of seconds.
After
billions of years, we find people (including ourselves) looking for such few
seconds of pure brilliance in our lives. LIFE,
which is defined by our qualification, job or how good looking and successful
in the above mentioned fields is our spouse. So we have kids with our
successful partners and leave them to follow the same path. That’s how the
simple cycle of life we are “supposedly” bound to be in, continues.
But the main
question is Who is this God person anyway? Why did he create us? Just for the
sake of his pleasure or just for the sake of sheer narcissism. If he did this
just for the sake of pleasure. Is he toying with us, trying to play us like ‘Sims’?
Friedrich Nietzsche during his end wrote, “God is dead, God remains dead. And
we have killed him.” Looking at the situations around the world, with all these
gender crimes, massacres, Nietzsche’s thought sounds about right.
Sometimes
the whole notion of God seems like an escapist phenomenon. It makes people get
away with anything. GOD made me this way or This is what god wanted for you,
Don’t worry god has a plan for you. A young girl who has been brutally raped by
a gang of hoodlums, and then she is left to live on vestiges of any sanity she
had got left. Many people will say, ‘God works in mysterious way’. But to be
frank if this omnipotent supernatural force can come up with this, if this is
the best he/she can muster. Then he/she might be doing a very bad job. Or we
might have the basic reasoning for it. There is no god. God didn't rape that
girl. If God saw what any of those did that night he didn't seem to mind. He
doesn't make the world this way. We do. If this is the best god can do, war,
disease, hunger, corruption, destruction, crime and filth. This is not good
work. Results alike these don’t belong to the resume of a supreme powerful
being. If this is a god, he is at least incompetent and maybe just don’t care.
So who is
this “him” exactly? And what was he doing before this big explosion? Maybe he
was trying different methods to create this explosion and one day he succeeded,
or, maybe it was a method went wrong, a mistake, added a wrong chemical and
BANG!!
Personally,
I find the mistake theory easier to believe. But, if we do that then what are
we doing here? Living a mistake? Suddenly we will find our cycles without
wheels.
“IMPOSSIBLE”;
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND”; “HOW BORED DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO THINK LIKE
THAT, LOL”; are some of the reactions a mistake theory believer might get,
because you can’t go anywhere without wheels. If we follow this track, we have
to make a new set of wheels on our own, which is highly “inconvenient.”
And
creation, I’m not so sure this was created. Maybe it's just accumulated, fields
affecting fields.
Still, it is
very possible, but very hard to digest, especially if we consider the religious
ideology. But a talking snake make a lady eat an apple, So we're screwed. Heaven
and hell were peddled so priests could rule through seduction and terror, save
our souls that we never lost in the first place.
Sometimes It
can be observed that religious ideologies can be easily deduced to stop doing
things you would enjoy. Religion from exalting life to purging joy as a sin. It’s
a padded list of just do’s and don’ts. About 5000 years ago, some people got
together to try to figure out how to control people. Because basically they
knew people were too stupid to believe everything told to them. It was designed
to scare people because fear tends to give other people right to make decision
for them. Religion just keeps people from having fun. It’s like a person went
up to the priest and said I love sex. The priest thought if this keeps on going
he would stop coming here, his supply of charity fund will stop. Then he
responds, it is a sin my son. Wait till you are married. Abstinence is the
answer. Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder and the then the man said, abstinence
also makes my arm grow stronger. Same goes for bathing; actually, bathing was
the style until the Middle Ages when the church told us it was sinful to wash
away God's dirt, so people were sewn into their underwear in October and they
popped out in April. A simple path to goodness needs a supernatural roadmap.
Religion is one of the leading cause of human deaths all over the world.
It is very hard
to believe because since childhood we have heard, read and seen people talk
about it. We accept THE BIG BANG as a FACT.
Just like we believe in a lot of other things also. As George Carlin once said,
“Tell people an invisible man in the sky created all things,
they believe you. Tell them what you've painted is wet, they have to
touch it to believe.” Somehow all this believing what have been told,
puts us in the Oceania of the world, we just have not figured it out yet, and
if somebody even figures that out we outcast them, because their beliefs oppose
our chosen reality.
That is what
we do in our lives, believe the facts and ignore the possibilities. Just
because we hear about it since childhood and read about it in books doesn’t
eliminate the possibility of another hypothesis. I am not saying that the big
bang is wrong or the facts that exist in the world are not true, all I am
saying is that it wasn’t too long ago (compared to life of the universe) that
we believed Earth was the center of our galaxy as a fact and it was a crime in
religious sects to think otherwise. So the main point that comes here is why
just believing what anybody tells, questioning those supposedly facts is what
this is all about.
Someone once
asked Horst Köhler, if there is a god. Horst Köhler said I advise you to think
about how your behavior would change with regard to the answer of the question.
If it would not change then we can drop the question, and if it would change,
then i can help you at least as far as possible because you have already
decided that you need a god.
